The title of this book can be better understood by the world than the church. The church is familiar with the altar call, a pleading, almost a begging for the sinner to come. I can say firsthand that Jesus did not do altar calls. I understand the method of an altar call is to give someone a chance to make an open confession after the Word is preached. However, this violates scripture. The Word of God says in Romans 10:9 if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. The setting in which one chooses to grab hold of salvation does not matter. Last call is a term used in bars to get your last drink. While participating in the last call at your local tavern you can confess God’s name and be saved. The name explains itself. This book will also be self explanatory. It is intended to broaden the perspective of the believer along with opening the mind of anyone who is seeking truth amidst watered-down church doctrine.
