#THEVOICE

GET OUT! GET OUT! Those were the last words running through my head. It was midnight in the middle of a blizzard, the snow was piled high, blowing in all directions. I was afraid that I wouldn’t make it, but I pushed those thoughts out of my head. With no phone, and no home to go to. I walked to a friend’s house. Hoping that she’d still be awake to let me in. I walked to her window but the lights were off. I made my way to the front door, and as I opened the storm door. I was going to knock but the front door was left cracked open. I stepped inside, took off my shoes, and locked the door behind me. I crawled into bed with my friend. She didn’t ask me why I was there, nor how I had gotten in. She just let me sleep.
